Special Unit 15

Special Unit 15 is one of five emergency response units operated by the Hepburn Township Volunteer Fire Company.

It is the primary response vehicle for all ambulance emergencies which occur within our coverage area. It is equipped with state of the art medical equipment and meets the requirements of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to be certified as a Quick Response Unit

The Fire Company has a core of Emergency Medical Technicians and First Responders who take pride in providing a recognized emergency medical response system for the community. These well-trained individuals have spent countless volunteer hours just being certified to respond. Continuing education programs keep them abreast of current, and new, practices as well as serve the purpose of providing the opportunity for maintaining their skills.

These people provide the exact same service as any responding ambulance service. With their skills they assess and attempt to mitigate medical emergencies and prepare patients to be transported to a hospital by an ambulance when it arrives.
