Stations 1, 14, 15, 16 Train Together at CAFCA Training Grounds • April 23, 2001

An effort has been made to to get a few stations to train together - they work together, why not train together! It has been fairly successful. Along with the Hepburn Township Vol. Fire Co., participants include Trout Run Vol. Fire Co., Old Lycoming Twp. Vol. Fire Co., and the Williamsport Bureau of Fire.

On this "warm" Monday evening, Capt. Joe Hopple, from Sta. 14, provided the leadership in simulating different tactical operations at the CAFCA Training Grounds. They included search and rescue exercises, fire attack on a first floor room and contents fire, as well as basement and second floor entries. Truck Company operations included ventilation and aerial practices.

Lieutenant Bob Bower seems to have Tanker 15 under control. Bob was very instrumental in founding CAFCA in the early 80's. He put a lot of countless hours towards the development of the Training Grounds. At times we wondered if it would ever happen.
Truck Company Operations and Aerial Operations went hand in hand. Pictured is Williamsport's Tower One.
The burn room of the center is located on the first floor. Pictured is a firefighter trying to cool the fire and ventilate by the use of a fog spray through a doorway on the opposite side of the room.

Look close and you will see a Station 16 member climbing over the railing of the balcony on the second floor. Tanker 15 is pictured in the foreground.
