This page is decicated to those in our community that had a vision, and a desire, to create a safer place to live for their family, friends and neighbors. Being a volunteer to a fire department is a unique experience. Ideally, it is giving of one's self for the betterment of their community without expecting anything in return. The lone exception would be the pleasure one derives from the satisfaction they feel when they realize "he or she has a made a difference in someone's life." That in itslf is very rewarding. Don't expect praise or gratitude or remuneration - that is not why you volunteer. Just be proud to be part of the team that has as its primary goal the well-being of the community within which we live.

To learn about the initial days of the Hepburn Township Volunteer Fire Company, please read the article entitled "A History of the Early Years." In 1984, a considerable amount of research went into this article. The final document was delivered in a speech at a fire company annual banquet held January 26, 1985.

Many other links are provided in order to share some of our history. Enjoy the pictures of the 1960's as well as the photos of groups in the later years.

If you have access to other memorabilia that could be shared on these pages please email the webmaster or call the fire company at 570-494-0411. Any help you could provide would be tremendously appreciated.
