August 3, 2003: Vehicle in Creek North of Ralston

Station 15 was dispatched on a Rescue assignment with entrapment about a quarter of a mile north of Ralston on Route 14. The vehicle was reported to be in Lycoming Creek with entrapment.

Ralston Fire Chief John Orr was one of the first on the scene. The scene he observed was not good. One male occupant had climbed up the 25 foot embankment onto the berm of Route 14. This person was transported to the hospital in Ralston's Ambulance. Two individuals were still entrapped in the vehicle while a third indiviual was found on the far side of the stream. These three resulted in fatalities.
