January 2, 2004: Motor Vehicle Accident in Lycoming Township

A little after 5:00 am, Station 15 and 16 was dispatched to a vehicle accident with possible confinement on Dauber Road in Lycoming Township. The roads were slippery due to a light rain and freezing conditions.

Hepburn Fire Chief Jeffrey Tempesco arrived first on the scene and determined two occupants were entrapped in the vehicle. Thr driver apparently lost control and the vehicle impacted a tree. Chief Tempesco upgraded the incident and special called Squad 14.

Rescue 15 arrived on the scene and secured the vehicle with cribbing and a cable from Rescue 15's front mounted winch. Station 15 and 16's crews then began removal of doors and roof.
