August 18, 2005: Tractor Fire Develops Into A Field Fire

Station 15 was dispatched to a Tractor Fire on Dylan Road in Hepburn Township earlier today. The alarm was dispatched a little after 9:30 am. Trout Run Volunteer Fire Company was also dispatched. They responded with their Brush Truck and Tanker.

The fire apparently started as a malfunction of the tractor and spread to the dry field which was being mowed. Approximately 1.5 acres of field became involved.

A few pictures are below.

The fire occurred on the property of Jack Strouse on Dylan Road.
Tanker 16 and Brush 16 were the first fire apparatus to maneuver through the field roads to arrive on the scene.

Tanker 15, which was first in the area, could not access the scene.

Brush 15 also arrived to help with suppression.
