October 24, 2008: Vehicle Accident with Entrapment at Post Office

Late this afternoon the Hepburn Twp. Vol. Fire Co. was dispatched to a vehicle accident, with entrapment with the assistance of Old Lycoming and Trout Run Fire Departments. A medic Unit from the Williamsport Hospital and Medical Center and Old Lycoming Police Department also responded.

The accident was located on Lycoming Creek Road near the Cogan Station Post Office. A passenger vehicle was traveling northbound while a truck-camper combination was traveling southbound. The two vehicles collided and the driver of the passenger car was entrapped inside. The driver of the vehicle was unintangled from the vehicle and extricated, and then placed in the waiting Hepburn Township Ambulance. The driver was then transported to the hospital. The occupants of the other vehicle did not require transport to the hospital.
